Christmas Cookies

My favorite part of the holidays is definitely baking cookies for Santa. Gage, Natalie, Haven, Tatum and I spent a whole day making and decorating cookies until we were cookied OUT! We had so much fun, and the outcome was FABULOUS! I love cookies! I used three recipes all from ourbestbites.com (thanks to Natalie I found this site with like the best recipes EVER!) It was the peppermint sandwiches, sugar cookies, and gingerbread men with the glace frosting! yummm....

A little update

Rusty- Works ALOT! We are also coming to snowmobiling season so he will be sledding ALOT! I'm going to order our kids some really warm snowsuits and so we can join him this year since I'm not 8 months pregnant anymore! Oh yes, Rusty bought me my very own sled and I have to say.... It's FAST! Can't wait to try it out! Rusty, as always, is working hard at his job. I'm very proud of him!

Katie- Still teaching dance. Just two days a week though so I'm not feeling too overwhelmed. I also teach solos on the weekends. That keeps me plenty busy. Along with taking care of the kids. I started taking an adult ballet class from my mom to keep me dancing and on top of my game! Monday was my first day and it was very fun! Still enjoying life as a mommy and wife!

Gage- Is very busy all of the sudden! He goes to tumbling class on Tuesdays and loves it and then he goes to his preschool with Miss Kara on Wednesdays. He loves that too. He is getting taller and he believes whole heartedly that his name is Gager. He does amazing toe touches and is the best big brother in the world! Oh yes, his 3rd birthday is Saturday!

Tatum- Crawls everywhere. Says buh bye and uh oh very well. She loves eating graham crackers in her high chair and cuddling her mommy. She is the happiest, funniest baby ever. Her hair also successfully went into two adorable pigtails on top of her head for the first time yesterday.

R.I.P. Maggie

This Month has been very eventful. We have been very busy with birthdays, mini vacations, and end of summer excitement! Tatum is now crawling on her hands and knees and she gets around very quickly. Her aunt Nichole believes she will be walking by the time she is nine months. I'm definitely praying that she won't! She recently had to go on her first antibiotic because of two ear infections and we're hoping and praying that she won't need tubes in her ears like her brother Gage.  Gage is enjoying preschool and tumbling classes and is getting bigger everday. I can't believe he will be three in a couple months. He is such a helpful big brother and loves his little sister more than anything! Rusty is camping right now and enjoying going up to S.D. outfitters elk ranch and guiding elk hunts up there. I tried to go up there and cook for the campers and ended up getting really sick and didn't enjoy myself at all. I won't be going up there again but I'm glad I got the opportunity to try it if only to realize that hunting definitely isn't something this gal is fond of! Rusty is still the best dad ever and does a great job at taking care of his family by working hard at his job and coming home to play and help out at home with the kids! He is still as handsome as ever and is the sweetest husband a girl could ask for! I have been busy teaching solos and taking pictures. Love spending time with my kids and family! The last thing I would like to mention is the death of the 17 year old sweetest puppy anyone could have. R.I.P. to our sweet border collie Maggie. We got her when I was a little 7 year old. She has been in my life longer than she hasn't! She was the sweetest dog ever and more than a pet, she was a part of the family!

August Craziness

Oh my goodness! I'm really trying hard to figure all of this out but it's very confusing. I wanted to post an update on what's been going on in our Bird house! August has been busy with weddings, baby blessings, family reunions, and everyday life. Rusty has been working hard as usual. I have been doing a few practice photo shoots and have been having way too much fun doing it! Gage loves his "cocoa" (chocolate milk) and drinks about 8 cups of it a day! Tatum enjoys graham crackers and is working really hard on crawling! It's a crazy house and hopefully September will slow down! Probably not though. Life is crazy busy but fabulous!

Our First Post

I'm really excited we finally got a blog! Can't wait to see how this all works! Lately I've been finally working toward my dream of doing some photography! I just got done with the dance studio pictures and some of my first photo shoots! It's been lots of fun. I've always loved taking pictures and hopefully I can work toward improving with it. Rusty has been working lots, as usual. We are trying hard to save up for a new house since our family has been growing! Gage is a busy body and Tatum is as happy as ever!
